The clean-out comes first because it decides how long the repair lasts. Fragments end up down in the door, along the lift channel, in the drain holes and under the seats, and any that remain will either rattle for years or grind against the new glass. Once the shell is clear we check the regulator and lift channel for bent parts, fit the replacement pane, and run the window up and down until it tracks true and pulls tight at the top. Where the damage is to a rear screen, the printed grid and antenna connections are restored and then tested by switching them on. The car is secure again the moment the technician packs the tools away, and the space you parked in is still yours.
